You own your invention!

As a student, it is you, as the inventor, who own the rights to embark on a commercial project based on your invention. Essentially NTNU or any partners have no ownership rights to your idea. But there are some exceptions. This may be when a student's work is part of a project involving external financing carried out under specific conditions. Or if it is evident that your supervisor or professor has made a significant contribution to the basis for the invention.

Spark* can help you with your invention

As a NTNU-student you can get counseling and good advices of how to realize your idea or invention by contacting Spark*, which is a free advisory service run by students with experience from start-ups and innovation projects. http://www.sparkntnu.no/
