In February 2013, DRS was sold by thelocal main owners, Proventure Seed, Salvesen & Thams and NTNU, to international mining and tunnellingsupplier Normet.
Trond Skogseth of DRS, now a director of Normet’s Rock Reinforcement business line, is very excited aboutbeing selected to represent Norway in the prestigious EBA Awards: “It’s a great honour to be recognized bythe European Business Awards for what we have achieved since our inception in 2009. The internationalmining industry is a challenging playing field for a small start-up like DRS but, with a superb product, thebacking of NTNU and patient investors, and a motivated and experienced global team, we have been able tobuild something that has increased the safety and efficiency level in mines all over the world. The EBArecognition is a good motivation to continue the work and bring our products to new mining markets”.

incredibly high standard of entries from organizations that are passionate about their business. However,
very few get the chance to fly the flag for their country and compete across Europe to be recognized as one

our sponsors and supporters, we’re looking forward to seeing Dynamic Rock Support in the next round.” Jean

which this year includes an exciting two-phase video voting round.”

assessment by a judging panel. In addition, the public will also be able to vote online for their favourite
National Champion from each country. These companies will become ‘National Public Champions’ and one
