NTNU Technology Transfer is the commercialization unit for the Central Norway Regional Health Authority RHF, effective from January 2012. This entails that we have the primary responsibility to commercialize all technology originating from the Central Norway Regional Health Authority RHF.

The Central Norway Regional Health Authority RHF is responsible for hospitals and the specialist health service in the three central Norwegian counties. The health region has approx. 15,000 employees. The specialist health service comprises the public hospitals, psychiatric institutions, ambulance services, emergency services, hospital pharmacies, laboratories and institutions for treating drug and alcohol problems.

The Central Norway Regional Health Authority provides treatment at five health enterprises:

  • St.Olavs Hospital

  • Helse Møre og Romsdal

  • Helse Nord-Trøndelag

  • Rusbehandling Midt-Norge

  • Helse Sunnmøre

  • Ambulanseforetaket HF

It additionally operates Sykehusapotekene, Ambulanse Midt-Norge, Helsebygg and Hemit.
